High Gear Holiday Signing Tour Update: This weekend is a big one! Plus I'm joined Monday evening by a famous author, fellow beer geek and adventurer!
Pretty much everyday I'm blessed and blown away by how well Volume 2 is selling and how many cool venues are inviting me for book signings. This weekend is a big one, and then Monday I'm in Harrisburg with the famed author Lew Bryson for a duel signing! Wow!
This Saturday I'm at the State College Barnes & Noble store where in the spring of 08 I set a store record for books signed and sold! Over 100 books went out the door and going LOCAL! Volume 1 went on to be the 5th best selling book there that summer. Please come out and help me break my own record. I'll be there from 10am to 4pm.
Sunday I return to a place that has embraced me and my books since the first one was conceived. Otto's Pub and Brewery in State College is one of those places that gives as much as they take. In fact, I feel they give more than they take. On many occasions, they have given a free beer to anyone who buys my book at a signing there - and they NEVER ask to reimbursed. I hope you can stop by Sunday from 11am to 3pm. As it happens a lot, I'll most likely be there later than that - the patrons there just keep coming. It's just the way things go at Otto's. It's a wonderful place to be.
Now for Monday. If I thought I was blessed and blown away, that was really made clear recently when Lew Bryson, famed author of Pennsylvania Breweries emailed to ask if he could buy my book! Lew Bryson buying MY book?! Yes, and after we emailed back and forth a couple times I asked Lew if he would join me at some signings. My dates didn't work for him, but he landed a gig at Appalachian Brewing Co. in Harrisburg and asked if I would join him! I JUMPED on it and that's what's going down Monday. If you've ever been to ABC in H-burg you know how amazing the place is - it's crazy cool. Lew and I will be there Monday evening Dec. 20th from 5pm to 8pm. Please stop in and meet Lew and buy his book - pick up a bunch, they make GREAT gifts for anyone who likes beer and local breweries!
Friday Dec. 24th I'll be at Tulune's Southside Saloon for their Customer Appreciation Day & Winter Solstice Party. I have no doubt this will be an Epic Event! Owners Todd & Mike know how to throw a party! This one is not to be missed my friends. Time is 12pm to ?
